• Account: name, email, organization or company when you indicate it.
• Country and preferred language (interface, spoken language and listening language).
• Billing information associated with plans, subscriptions and HUIO Minutes.
• Authentication and session data (tokens, session status, start and end events).
• IP address, browser and device, necessary for security and service provision.
• Usage metrics: session and room identifiers, participant role, source and destination language, entry, exit and reconnection events, granted permissions and HUIO Minutes consumption.
• Security logs and error observability (Sentry) to diagnose failures.

Real-time translation and recording are distinct, independent functions with different legal bases.

To provide the translation, the necessary audio may be processed temporarily to recognize speech, translate it and generate the translated output. This processing is transient and oriented exclusively to delivering the translation during the session.

Real-time translation does not by itself imply that HUIO permanently records the conversation. Recording, persistent transcription and AI Summary are optional, mutually independent functions and are disabled by default.

When recording is enabled, a specific notice is shown to participants and the recorded content may include audio, video and/or shared content depending on the configuration.

When persistent transcription is enabled, a specific notice is shown and spoken content may be converted to text and stored as part of the session.

When the AI Summary is enabled, a specific notice is shown. The visibility of the summary is configured per session (disabled, host only, host and speakers, or everyone).

A person can participate as a guest via link, code or QR without creating an account, in any mode (room, conference or live conversation). In this case we process a temporary guest session identifier, the display name they indicate, the chosen language, the role assigned by the organizer and the minimum technical connection data.

When the user uses the HUIO browser extension for Zoom, Teams or Meet, the extension captures the speaker's audio (the other person's voice) and translates it in real time. If the user installs a virtual microphone (VB-Cable on Windows or BlackHole on Mac), the extension sends the translated voice to the meeting.

The audio is processed temporarily for translation and then deleted. It is not stored permanently.

• Support communications and request handling (contract execution).

HUIO uses infrastructure and processing providers located outside Peru by purpose category: hosting and database, real-time audio and video transport, AI speech processing and translation, payment processing, transactional email and error monitoring.

Real-time speech processing and translation is currently carried out with real-time models from Alibaba Cloud (Qwen).

These transfers are limited to the described purposes and are covered by contractual clauses and confidentiality commitments with each provider. We do not authorize our providers to train models with your content.

We retain data for as long as necessary for the purpose that originated it. Accounting, payment and claim data are retained for the periods required by applicable law. Evidence of acceptance of legal documents is retained as proof of consent.

You can access, rectify, update, object, limit processing, request portability and deletion of your data, as well as withdraw your consent. From Settings → Privacy and data rights you can export your data and delete your account.
